On January 10, 2024, President Joko Widodo visited the W Hydrocolloids, Inc. – Carmona Plant in Cavite, conducting an on-site inspection and plant tour. President Widodo delved into the potential of Indonesia’s seaweed processing industry.

The Indonesian government is committed to enhancing seaweed processing, opening avenues for exports to nations like the Philippines, and uplifting the livelihoods of local farmers.
